Tracking overhead
John, Is there a way to get a report on overhead amounts? Let me explain... When we set up a job in our accounting department the costs get separated into basically CAD dept labor, Shop labor, Field labor, Finish labor, Materials (shop & finish separately), Packing & Shipping labor, Shop expenses (o...

Is it possible to add these features?
1. Stop the FT lengths in the description column and in the "Layout schematic" from changing back in IN lengths after a custom auto entry item edit. 2. Stop rounding fractions in the "takeoff" description column - if I use a 1 3/4" passage door as a custom auto entry the program rounds this to 2". I...

Printing bid letter to PDF
John,
With high hopes I uninstalled the PDFCreator that I downloaded from their website (pdfcreator.com) and installed the one from your link - PDFForge.org.
It worked great!!
Thanks again for your help, Hank

Changing Labor Classes / Codes
Would it be possible to change the "Solid Surface" labor class on the Labor Rates tab to something like "Shop Foreman" or would that not track through the system correctly? I would like change the labor code for that item to "foreman" as well. I know that during the initial setup process we changed ...

Setting up Expenses
I think we disscussed this during training but I cannot remember what the verdict was. What would be the best method to add expenses such as truck rentals, fuel, scaffolding and other general condition expenses? We did add a truck trip item to the custom auto entry library (using dollarpart ea) as a...

Printing bid letter to PDF
I just got through installing PDFCreator and it has the same problem; the bottom 3" of the bid letter is getting cut off.
I tried printing from Word and Excel to the PDFCreator and they come out fine.
Any other thoughts on this problem?

Printing bid letter to PDF
I was afraid you were going to say that. I will have to give the PDFCreator a try. Another program to install.... I did find that you could copy the white area of the bid letter and "Paste Special" to the A1 cell in Excel 2003 as a "Corel Quattro Pro 8 Notebook Object". I then right click on the obj...

Lower portion of bid letter cut off in PDF
Has anyone been having trouble with part of the bid letter being cutoff when printing to PDF? I am using Acrobat Professional 8. The print preview looks great but once I open the saved PDF file the bottom 3.25" is blank on every page. As long as the bid list is short and my closing is above that dim...

Custom items in Labor Factors
In the Labor Factor tab I see 5 columns labled "custom cab 1", "custom door 1 & 2" and "custom drawer 1 & 2". Do the labor rates in these columns come into play with the casework spec's? If so, how?
Thanks, Hank

Gantt Chart printing
Is there any way to adjust the length of the Gantt chart on the project timeline tab? It looks like it is preset to be 1 year long. If the project is shorter than that it would make for a nicer presentation if we could get rid of all the extra empty columns.

Yes, that does help. I also like your suggestion about using the script style font.

Adding images to Bid Letter
I would like to add a scanned image (bmp.) of my signature to the bid letter just below the "Respectfully" line. What is the best way to do this?
