Do you use Trend Micro Anti Virus? If so that's where the problem is. To test this right click on the Trend Micro icon in the system tray (lower right corner by the time). Disable the anti virus. Once you do so you can select for how long. Choose the shortest time available. Does the program start up now?
If so you have found the issue. To fix it and use Trend Micro's AV at the same time you will have to create an exception in Trend Micro. First that will involve creating a folder and copying a file into your temp folder ..
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a file that will allow you to fix this issue. Refer to "Trend Micro AV fix" in the email.
After you get the reply go to your start button and in the run box enter "%temp% and click run/OK. This opens an explorer window of your current user's temp folder.
Create a folder in it named "MMBPlayer"
In that folder place the file from the zip, that was emailed to you..
Go to Trend Micro control panel and select this file in the exceptions list. The file path will be something like "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Temp\MMBPlayer\plugy.dll"
NOTE: If you have multiple users you will have to make exceptions for each user account.
