Re: "edit an existing estimate" button closes Alliance

Here is a link that details how to use a couple of utilities that will give you control over Windows shell extensions. They are free downloads and they allow you to control your "shell extensions", which is what is causing your problem. You can disable certain shell extensions and see if that fixes ...

Re: "edit an existing estimate" button closes Alliance

It has been MANY years since this problem has occurred but it seems to have raised it's ugly head again. Autodesk has a good knowledge base article on this kind of problem at the link below and lists specific problem applications that have been known to create this problem. https://knowledge.autodes...

This is a rare issue that only happens with new installation and stems from complex user or group permissions settings in Windows Vista, 7, and 8. The fix involves editing the Windows Registry on that machine and user's account as follows .. You can only perform these steps when you have administrat...

Re: Custom Library problems

Invalid cell or block errors can usually be fixed with this process. 1. From an estimate click the Custom Autoentry button. You will have to click OK thru as many as 4 "Invalid cell or block address" messages. 2. Once the library displays load an item .. any item. 3. Go to "edit the Library" In olde...

Re: Lay up labor

Peter Labor for plastic laminate glue ups for cabinets can be found in column V of the casework labor factors (V5 .. V29). This labor is only calculated if you have a glue line in the finishes tab of your cabinet spec. If no glue line is entered in the cabinet spec, no labor for the glue line is fig...

Sure Peter. Just click on the line you want to remove (or highlight a range of cells in multiple lines) and click the "delete lines" button at the top. Does that help?

Re: Base cabinets

Peter You can add a new cabinet style to the system that would have 8 drawers (a mix of regular sized and large sized drawers, depending on your layout), 1 door, 2 vertical dividers, and set the drawer stack quantity to 3. That should get you there. If this is your first time creating a cabinet styl...

Edit an existing estimate opens a PerfectFit Doc Folder

This problem has been reported on just a few machines so the problem is pretty rare. It seems to be caused by conflicting software settings in some Windows Vista and Windows 7,8, or 10 operating systems. To fix this problem so that edit an existing estimate opens the folder that contains your estima...

While running Gen 2 for first time I wrongly disabled macros

I agree this is an easy thing to do if you're not following the instructions as you go. To give yourself another chance to re-select the startup macro setting, Edit the registry key below to a value of 1. That will give you the startup macro choice next time you start the program. This time choose "...
