It doesn't sound like it should be doing this. Just to confirm you started the program, then opened the AMS master estimate file, then saved it to your flash drive location. Have you closed and restarted the program since then? Also are you starting the program via a shortcut that points to the AMS ...

Hank You can add it in any of the add'l overhead lines on the labor rates tab. However, were it me I would include shipping as an item in the takeoff using the custom library. That way I can establish so many hours of truck loading time per trip along with road time per trip, and a mileage cost. The...

The best way to divide up items in the takeoff is to change the row height of a particular line to create a visual break. You cannot have blank lines in the takeoff area.

No can do. There is simply too much going on there to be able to sort it. You can run a scope and sort that. Does that help?

Erik Our update will have that capability, along with being able to put a custom markup on custom library items too. If you're using the customized files I sent last November I think they have that too, as a drop down on the right hand side of the custom library, right below the amortize check box. ...

Currently users are adding a fixed cost to the end of a job as a buy out takeoff item. The percentage takeoff tool is complete, as is the amortizing option and the adjustable markups, and most everything in the network sharing version. I'm working on bid letter customizations now and would like to i...

It very well could have been the description problem. I have replicated that and will be looking into it soon. EDIT: This bug was handled in the 218 release.

Jeff Cloning the original spec and then swapping the cloned spec would work best. The Autoentry system should be repeating the last spec selection used. It should not be defaulting to the first spec. Is that indeed what's happening? As for cabinet counts, we have had some occasional problems with th...

Jeff Are you saying that you would like to be able to set the cabinet quantity as well as the elevation quantity in the clone tool? I'm a little confused about that. Most users use the clone tool to replicate an existing elevation, and if the elevation has 3 of one type of cabinet and one of another...

Very good tip. That clone tool comes in handy when used creatively!

As for the second part of your question .. what additional items are you trying to add? You've looked at the custom tab in the spec and that's not enough? Most customers don't even use that tab because they don't need it.

Luke Thanks for using the forum! As for hinges on tall doors .. in the cabinet specs there is a dimensions tab. On that tab you can set the height that you want the system to add an additional 3rd and 4th hinge. The dimension is for the door height, meaning that the system subtracts the toe base hei...

You will have to add waste to the factor area quantity. For instance you want o figure something on...

Yes, that's correct behavior Erik. The library can only store the end result of such formulas, not the formula itself. What calc key are you using? Maybe you can use the A in the calc key and a .5 in the factor.
