takeoff sheet - added subtotal row?!

Post by alantenan » Mon Nov 02, 2009 2:41 pm

You mentioned you were working on an update , I have a thought for a small but useful improvement. On the Takeoff sheet, you have columns for each labor class or type. At the top of each labor column , I would benefit from having a subtotal at the top of these labor columns (maybe at Row 2). Especially on smaller to midsize highly customized jobs I would use this to get an "impression" of whether the underlying formulas are adequately covering my labor hours.

I realize the summary sheet provides some info as well as the labor report, but neither of these is quite as beneficial.

The place that does have those totals arranged in the same way is the Project Timeline sheet, line 4. That might be more useful as well, because there is also a ghant chart there, broken down by labor type.
