Sometimes have you noticed that you are no longer working in the estimate you thought you were? This can happen sometimes depending on your computer and OS.
This is a bit weird and it's kind of a hard problem to spot. You have to have multiple estimates open and then click a button on the AMS estimate toolbar. You might click the "takeoff" button and it does indeed go to the takeoff .. however for some users it might go to the takeoff of another estimate, not the estimate that you were in when you clicked the button.
If you've run into this problem, and we've had a few that have, you can fix this issue by downloading this little file (link below). Right click on the link and choose "save as". Then you need to re-name the file to AMS estimate.br3, (replacing the underscore with a space) and then saving that re-named file to the ..
When you do this you should get prompted to overwrite an existing file. Say yes. If you don't get that prompt to overwrite an existing file then you are likely not downloading the file to the correct location. BTW, the program should be closed when you do this.
This file will fix that issue if you have it. http://alliancemillsoft.com/support/AMS_estimate.br3
